Do you or anyone you know about, have the means to do the necessary changes?

And/or reprogram one of the engines/programs used by homebrewers to add more frames per sprite.

How do we do big characters made by many sprites?

What are the limitations on background graphics: number of colours? Resolution? How to divide bitmaps for possible parallaxes?

Etc?

Should backdrops, background be drawn as tiles/set of tiles, or as complete entitites (like a single house, a single complete building, a row of trees for the forest etc)?

Do you know anything about grfx-limitations for background grfx?

Number of colours?

if parallaxes are used, limitations one need to take into account...?

Platforms: any particular size?

etc,

This will be quite the undertaking.  The Amiga version was terrible, so I'm not sure how well this game can be represented on the 7800 without something like XM?  The arcade is moderately fast scrolling, with a lot of objects.

That might of been down to the coding team assigned to the Amiga version.

The C64 played host to a very respectable conversion.

Indeed.  See B.C. Kid for a platform game developed properly for the Amiga.

The Atari 7800 is no stranger to coding, talent, and/or circumstance making the difference between a poor, good, or even great game on the system.

Understandably, Pac-Land may not result in TG-16 like proportions under the 7800; however, Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest more than shows it can be, like the C64 port, very respectable.

Honestly this as title is not my first choice.  I feel that the Lynx already did this well and other would rather see something different.  I would be more interested in seeing a title like Psycho Fox on the 7800.  That being said what I really want is an original epic platformer along the scale of Super Mario Bros 3 so that we can see the hardware pushed and finally find out what thus console is really capable of.

I donno... I think Bentley Bear is kinda what that was.

I'm way into the idea of Pac Land. I was still putting quarters into this machine when my peers were dumping them into Steet Fighter Alpha and Virtua Fighter.

I might be biased then, but anyone who knows me knows I love Pac Man. I know most of us here know what I mean.

If Baby Pac Man isn't the ultimate (and it might be), then Pac-Land is the ultimate. If both of them get made, then the 7800 is the double king of classic consoles for Pac-Man. (Thanks to Pacmanplus' Jr Pac and Super Pac and everything else he's graced the console with).

I suppose Mr and Mrs. Pac-Man pinball would glue this title down even more, but talk is cheap and code is expensive. Guess we'll all see how it plays out.

Well, as to richness of ideas and concepts, I feel quite inexhaustible.

As to programming I’m nowhere; I cannot code one line.

Hmm, interesting...

How many share this feeling...?
