Heaven/TQA
Was there some Atari code (2600/800) used as core?
STE'86
this from coder Tony Savona: "I didn't use the code for the same old reason but I looked at it in some cases to understand the logic when it was not immediately clear from the footage. For example the elevator. The number of frames it spends at each floor. And the fact that after level 8 it becomes "bastard": it spends half of the time at your floor"
Gury
I still prefer Atari version. True classic!
Rybags
Nice effort but TBH the game never did much for me on any platform. But of course we have to remember it's origin meant it'd never be some complex epic adventure.
Tempest
To me the Atari 8-bit/5200 versions added too much 'fluff' and made it hard to see the obstacles sometimes. I prefer the simpler looking 2600 version myself.

Mr Robot
Looks like a good recreation, love the music, the graphics are very nice too. Thank you!
_The Doctor__
I think it's a fine effort, and I may have to adjust to it... now to dig out real hardware and give it a go... emu is all I use for C stuff... but when something like this comes along I find it's best to dig the thing out. Sometimes we can learn something in conversions to other platforms.

I sold off all of my C64 stuff years ago so VICE is all that I have these days. I've thought a few times about picking up a mini but haven't gotten around to it yet. _The Doctor__
plenty of old c's around the valley, I'd hope you could get one easily and inexpensively... that is unless you need to save space... :)

Thanks but space is kind of tight and VICE meets my needs pretty well for my limited C64 usage.
Greg2600
Wow, this is really well-done! I'm surprised C64 didn't have a port of this. One of my all-time 2600 favorites.

Tempest
I never realized that Keystone Kapers didn't have a C64 release until now. Seems kind of odd. I wonder what other multi-platform Activision games the C64 didn't get?

If my notes are to be believed, Kaboom!, Megamania and Stampede all had official releases for multiple platforms, but not for the Commodore 64.

carlsson
Megamania was kind-of ported to the C64 as part of the Garry Kitchen's GameMaker package, though not a full blown commercial release.
