Do you plan on getting both systems next year

I have no interest in the Amico, and as for the new PS and Xbox, probably not next year. That is partially due to my to play pile, but it always seems to take a few revisions for these consoles to not be in the beta stage (were their fewer issues with launch PS4/Xbox One systems as opposed to the mess we had with the launch PS3 and 360?).

 

And more than likely, I will probably just settle for one of these... probably the PS 5 since that is more likely to get things like Persona games and games I have been following on the PS3/PS4.

There's not much that will interest me next gen, the current gen kind of sucks with its fragmented games and limited universal usage. Even Nintendo got in on the bs this generation.

 

next gen, it's going to take something serious for me to even consider a next gen console. Full 3d support, which will be a neat trick with no new 3d displays being made, or full (proper) backwards compatibility with a system I could actually care about.

I might not actually get either. I've been exclusively an Xbox gamer for the past 12 years or so (I just worked it out and couldn't believe it's been that long) but have been finding it difficult to find time to play anything. With PC gaming now having recovered from the slump that caused me to eventually get a PS2, which had been my first console purchase since the Jag, it's getting harder to justify console gaming at all when you have a perfectly good PC that you use every day.

I'll definitely be picking up an Amico for the quick fixes/family fun and Xbox Series X for the in depth AAA titles - Hellblade II looks stupidly real!!! I'm more excited about Amico though as it's something new. Not often we get to see a new console from a new company release - unlike in the '90s where it seemed to happen every week, haha. 

 

Don't know much about PS5 yet but I get the feeling a lot of the exclusives will be Xbox this time around.

I'll have to wait and see. If a special Halo Infinite edition Series X comes out that might sell me. I need more info!

I'm going wait and see with the Amico, I like the idea. I just don't have the time for multiple game systems.
