Yep! It's time for doubledown to get crackin'.  :D

Seriously, it would be really nice to have this as a "somewhat mass-produced" controller, with Tron as the pack-in game.

It would work like the Expansion Module #2, but with the flight stick on the left side, the paddle on the right side, and a 12-key keypad in between (or maybe under the paddle). But it would be horribly expensive, so it should remain in the dream realm.  :)

The Tron arcade game uses a joystick and a paddle, and both are used simultaneously by the player (for moving and aiming at the same time). You'd need a dedicated controller for a game like that, not even the Roller Controller would fit the bill. I suppose the controller input could be simplified in a ColecoVision/Phoenix version, but you'd lose a lot of the arcade experience in the process.

I think you could play Tron well on a Roller Controller, you would just need two things:

1. The dexterity to use the roller as the spinner and use a button on the RC at the same time

2. A way to secure the hand controller in its bay much better, so it doesn't come loose while playing.

You'd need three hands to make that work: One to move the joystick, one to spin the paddle, and one to hold the controller and press the fire button.  :P

I can do it with 2 as long as the programmer flips the axis input so that the controller can be held sideways.

Unless TRON requires very excessive and fast movement on the paddle, I could handle the Gemini controller fine with just two hands without even rotating it: Hold it in my right palm, use right hand middle finger to reach the fire button, right hand thumb to rotate the paddle and left hand for the joystick.

The paddle on the Gemini controller is not compatible with the ColecoVision. That's why CollectorVision came up with their Spinner Controller.

Oh yeah, I bought that...wait...?

Just give them a few years to get the other 15 things on the list done. Really, though, looking forward to them all. May need to get a night job...:-D

You're missing the following:

Coleco ADAM FPGA

Atari 2600 cart adapter

Well, in this case, I could add 10 more projects!

Like for instance, Mr Do's Wild Ride, Gorf SuperGame, L'abbaye des Morts etc.., etc...

The ColecoVision ''secret game'' is done, we only need the PCBs, we went out since we had to ship the Caverns of Death with the Phoenix

- Venture DX, is now Venture SuperGame, I'm currently working on it

- Dead Tomb is about 80% done

- New controller is currently being designed, the spinner should be built-in

Atari 2600 Paddle/Trak-ball adapter:  ???  I didn't remember saying we were going to do that?
- Atari2600 Cartridge Adapter: Currently in design
- Rom Vault update: Yeah, I need to do that (can someone send me a list of missing stuff?)
- New Cores/updates: We're working on it

I thought the spinner controller would be of it's own so that people don't have to buy a few hundred dollar controller just to have a spinner. Me and probably many more already spent 200 on an edladdin controller. Can there be a cheap option for spinner only controller?

Yes, there is a way to make a Spinner only controller

In fact, if this is the preffered method, we might end up doing that

BMack had said it would be a maybe with the expansion port. Don't think it was written in stone. IMHO, it's not really a 2600 without paddle and trackball.;-)

On top of what Swami listed could we also get manuals or at least something that shows number pad and button functionality?
