You should try a black label with white font.

It is a DIY project, so everyone can use the colors he/she wants. I decided to use a dark blue for the 3D cases (RAL 5005), but @Andrew Davie is using a lighter blue for his cases. The PlusCart website and the logo background for the standard cartridge labels is using a color gradient (from dark to light blue) with the RGB values: #37609f (for the dark blue) #67b9DD (for the light blue)

Originally I used masking tape, then I used the Mamorubot plate for a long time, but then started putting masking tape over that. Recently I've used a generic magnetic plate, which has been great for ease-of-removal, and then masking tape over that. The masking tape is for a mottled surface effect on the print, and also aided adhesion on the Mamorubot and original surface. The magnetic plate has fabulous adhesion qualities and does not need the tape at all, but it has a plain surface. I have ordered a magnetic textured PEI plate and hoping it will be the best of all worlds.

I should probably post the latest version of the STL 3D files ASAP so people are printing the best version possible.
+Andrew Davie
Latest version... The pins have been reworked, and now include a size marker. The whole thing should snap together more tightly. The whole thing is ever-so-slightly larger so that the fit on the '2600 is not so tight. pluscart20201127.zip

PlusCarts in the 3D printed shells will be available soon (hopefully by the end of this week).

Try connecting USB and then hit the reset button on the STM near the USB connector. Then refresh/connect on the STM32CubeProgrammer
Fierodoug5
I have Boot 0 open, and Boot 1 hardwired closed. hitting the reset button near the USB gets it to show up in device manager, but with the no driver error Does not show up after trying to refresh/connect in cube programmer Edited December 4, 2020 by Fierodoug5
alfredtdk
Excellent project! I can't wait to get one of these Pluscart in my collection. The ones that are printed in 3D are impressive. So I guess it's down to drivers for you.

Afair there was no driver installed. But maybe the USB2serial driver (which I had already installed for other projects) is used?
Fierodoug5
I do projects with similar boards and never had this issue. Tried on 3 different win10 system's. Maybe I got a bad board?, which would stink since I already have everything soldered together.

+Al_Nafuur
As far as I can see, the USB driver should be included in STM32CubeProgrammer: https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeprog.html Did you downloaded the correct version for your OS (W32, W64 ?) Here are some screenshots from my driver settings on Win10 (W64 German) with v2.6.0 STM32CubeProgrammer:
