The display looks great in S-Video! I went with the Glacier Belle font style, although I really like Trichotomic-12, so I may change to that. Test Results So Far: - Played a few games and they do seem to download faster. - I was able to successfully download the Communist Mutants Hack, that wouldn't start up (for me) yesterday evening - Used the Search ROM option (like the keyboard, easy to use) for Asteroids and the Asteroids Arcade Hack, Asteroids Vector failed to download. I was able to select other Asteroids ROMs from the search results (e.g. Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe). - Thanks for animating the loading logo. I prefer to see it animated (thinking). 1

+sramirez2008
Btw, Nice to see DPC+ functionality being worked on. Chaotic Grill works well. Also, the Parallax Scroll-Text by Alex is an amazing wip. 1

We were talking about how early exit would work with the trackball. Using right + reset would be an issues as the trackball could be holding the right direction bit in a low state. So that has to be resolved first. There's a thread about it in the club.

Yes it is an early PoC to receive data from a PlusROM backend and display it as text. It is downloading data for a newsticker of www.t-online.de (a german news website). Pressing the joystick button will load the next 4 news from the backend. I used one of @Omegamatrix's 36 chars examples (36_Char_201805011.bin). But It doesn't look nice on a white background and I think I generally mixed some things up in the ASM code when I changed it to 3E bankswitching (3E because of the RAM to store the downloaded data). The modified ASM code is in GITLab
Omegamatrix
Meltdown has been modified for the PlusCart High Score Club. PlusCart user/tester can find the PAL60, and NTSC versions in the PlusStore directory "Public ROMs\PlusROMs\High Score Club" The NTSC version can be played online in javatari.js. The ROM-file can also be played with Gopher2600. The "PlusCart High Score Club" page for Meltdown: https://highscore.firmaplus.de/?game_id=27 Meltdown is an unreleased, but finished prototype. Here are some instructions I've cobbled together from what I could figure out, and what I could find. Description: Rogue quarks have entered the Nuclear Reactor and are agitating the atoms! As the only remaining scientist you must destroy the quarks and cool the reactor before it destablizies and melts down. Controls: - Joystick Left/Right moves the Atomic Stabilizer. - Joystick Up/Down moves the Cadium Tube. - Left Difficulty Switch - Position B (easy): Atoms can be fired upon with no effect. - Position A (hard): Firing on atoms without quarks will strip them of electrons, and cause them to shrink. - Right Difficulty - Position B (easy): Quarks are bound within the grid, and can not wrap around grid edges. - Position A (hard): quarks can quantum leap (wrap-around) grid edges, i.e. they can be on bottom row and then go to the top row. *** Note for all games the higher the starting score the faster the game speed. Omegamatrix
You wouldn't know it by looking at it, but Meltdown is one of the most innovative old era games in terms of tricks.
