How to Upgrade TOS chip in Falcon

Stupid QUestion here guys

I have a new TOS chip for my falc, and i want to install it.

Now the only sensible place looks like the socket under the floppy.

Is this right?

I'#d hate to stick it in the wrong place & blow up my falcon.

Can anybody confirm I'm about the do the right thing?

Nope. In my Falcon, the TOS EPROM chip is the square chip in a socket under the memory board. My TOS chip has a sticker on it saying TOS 4.04.

The square chip in a socket under the floppy is the audio codec chip.

Hi Robert,

It was great to talk with you and meet you too.

My chip wasn't labelled but thanks to you and Ropdolphe i have replaced my old 4.00 or 01 whatever it was with a brand new 4.04

Now all i need to do is get my CT60 running.

Track is cut, but still won't boot. Oh well i guess i habe to stick with 030 mode for the time being.
