The Official (or not) PRGE 2019 Vicarious Photos Thread

A few pics of the AtariAge booth.  Al and the crew were working hard.

@Albert I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  I don’t know how you do it, but I thank you, because (for me) PRGE would not be the same without AtariAge.

That’s so awesome. I played both Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe in the arcade — what a great game! I would have loved to have met him — got to try to spend less time at the arcade next time. :( :)

@davidcalgary29 I played both in the arcade too (mostly on Friday night and some Saturday night). I could only stay through Saturday, but I managed to attend several panel discussions, which left less available time on the vendor floor.

I must say Ed and everyone else I met with, were really, really nice. Between the game purchases and meet/greets, this was Christmas in October for me.

Not Atari related, but the cosplayers at PRGE are top notch. There are always Star Wars-themed costumes that blow my mind. These (presumably) guys were terrific!

2 legends: Joe Decuir and Walter Day on stage together. Seeing these legends in-person was a personal highlight.

Well, it was a fantastic time at my first PRGE! I have been to CGE a few times over the years, and it was nice to get acquainted or reacquainted with the likes of Ianoid, cmart604, Albert, April, Rev, swlovinist, and all the great artists and content creators that help bring us together!

I didn’t take spectacular photos this time, I mostly took video. I’ll edit some and put it on my YouTube account.

My family accompanied me on this trip, and my little boy got hit with a bad cold. We had to limit our time on Sunday, but all-in-all, he trudged though. I also had to finish some homework for my MBA program, which is still pending! I will fly back to my hometown tomorrow… back in to the sunny sunshine. I will miss the soggy, coffee-and-beer soaked atmosphere of Portland,

which is an excellent departure from the dry warmth we’ve had for many months now. Hope you all enjoy!

You need to add a picture of the Unipiper. Unicycle+bagpipes+Darth Vader = perfection.

And if Atari Age is there next year, I’m in for the whole three days. I didn’t even notice that Good Deal Games was the next booth over because of the AA booth.

That dude is great:thumbsup:  He was there in 2017 too, so I have to believe that he's normally in attendance.  BTW, he changes into several characters.  I saw him as Vader and Mario this year.

Here's my haul from PRGE 2019.  BTW, Ryan Witmer (AKA AverageSoftware) of RealSports Curling and Ratcatcher fame, was also in attendance and it was a pleasure to meet/chat with him.

Sweet! Glad you connected with so many Atari programmers and enthusiasts! Sorry I didn’t get to meet you.

I got Baby, Wiz, and went back for a $40 PMC ftw. Long time need! Now my wife and kids can enjoy a variety of Pac-Man goodness on the 7800.

I didn’t find any thrilling throwback pickups at this expo. :( A couple of vendors had some nice looking boxed 5200 and 2600 games, but they were all budget items. I smiled at the giant cardboard pits of “junk” that some vendors had. These included dozens of common Atari carts and many, many controllers. I think they’d sell better if a little cleaning and organizing went into those, but I’m sure this type of arrangement appeals to pickers. Next time I’ll remember to bring my purple nitrile gloves!

I was trying to see if Gyvolver was playing on a screen in one of the videos. So far I haven't seen it.

I took some video, which didn’t come out great, but in the first few seconds you will see Gyvolver running.

Spoke too soon.  Need to back up my phone.

I know I've seen it in at least one of the videos. I don't think anyone was playing it at the time, but it was on screen.

Sorry, I'm unable to download the video from my company phone.  Sheesh!  Anyway, the game was in fact running.  It was in the last row of games, (to the left of Galagon and Ameba Jump). If you would have played it, you would have been standing, facing the AA banners and sales desk.

I was able to download the video you posted. Thanks. Here's a screenshot from it:
