wow, fantastic history :) 

now i also have answers on my questions about how to catalog my infocom adventures 😛 
and a BIG thank you to the Master!! Barry Boone! :D

Awesome read.  I email Barry every now just to say hi.  I remember when we were teenagers and the various programs he coded.  He was a wealth of knowledge then and the TI just came easy for him.

 

I remember when he first coded the Infocom Interpreter.  I think it was around 1986 or so.  I had a PC XT Compatible at the time and a few infocom games, so i volunteered to be a tester.  I would transfer the data files from my PC over to the TI and report back with results.  He would make some changes and send me a new version.  After only a few days he had it working...  We had Infocom games that were said could not be ran on the TI due to memory limitations, but now were running with his interpreter.

 

I think I still have it somewhere.
