Spiderman 2600 vs Superman 2600: Which would you rather play?

Two of the earliest known video games based on comic books. One Marvel, one DC. Neither of them are perfect, but if given the choice, which one would you rather play? I personally have only played VCS Spiderman via Stella 64-bit, so I might be biased toward that in some ways. What are your two cents?

Spider-Man for me. It's more arcade like, easier to get into... more pick up and play.

Spider-man almost has something there. The Superman game isn't very much fun, imo.

Superman has always been one of my favorites. I had it as a kid and it's one of the ones I always play whenever I play some Atari.

Spiderman is more fun but I have a sentimental attachment to Superman as it was my late brothers favorite 2600 game since he was a big Superman fan

I've never played the Spideman game... but have played Superman and it's bad. I'd play almost anything over it.. even 2600 Pac-Man...

6 year old me loved playing Superman and got it for Christmas. I'm not sure I've ever heard of Spider-Man before now (although it wouldn't surprise me to find I actually own it and had forgotten).

Spiderman is more straight forward. Superman is a really weird game.

Yeah, Superman is a bit too obtuse and raw compared to the rest of the later games. I do enjoy it but always preferred the arcade action of Spider-man more.

I still get out my Superman cartridge and play a game EVERY time I turn on my Atari.

 

I have Spider-man, but rarely play it.

I always loved superman.  I remember when spiderman came out, I had wished that it had a city map and transportation system like superman's but a feature that allowed you to climb buildings (like in spider man) and then web-sling between them.

The Kryptonite satellites were annoying but I still enjoy playing it.

I like Spiderman, but it's definitely Superman for me. Spiderman is certainly more accessible and I can absolutely understand why it's winning this poll, but I just like Supes a whole lot more. One of those "one more round!" games I keep coming back to trying to beat my best time. The city map can be pretty confusing (rapid-fire x-ray vision searches and the subway are an absolute necessity to getting a good time), but I'm continuously impressed by just how involved and expansive it is for a 1979 game. Sure it's a flicker fest (actually, more of a straight-up blink fest), and can be frustrating, but the good far, far outweighs the bad for me. Honestly, it's a top 10 favorite of mine where the 2600 is concerned!

Superman is an intriguing and innovative proto-adventure game but the interlacing (is that the word?) gives me a headache. Spider-Man is just simple and fun fun and brings back fond memories for me because I owned it as a kid.

Spider-Man: single screen, twitch-based gameplay, in the arcade style. Note the hyphen.

 

Superman: multi-screen, exploration-based gameplay, only suited to home gaming. Early, primitive. 

 

I prefer Superman, but either one are very far down the list of games I'd choose to play. If I could pick any superhero game right now, I'd choose Spider-Man on the Playstation 4, which is a bit different than either of these.

I remember Spiderman had a pretty good tune, I don't remember any music in Superman. It's close, but I think Spider-Man is better.
