Joust Pinball

I stumbled on a head-to-head Joust Pinball at PRGE. It looked like a blast to play, but was occupied all the times I walked by. I had to ask the players if head-to-head machines were common -- one said yes, even though I've never seen one before -- and just hoped it didn't interrupt his game! But are they, really? I've never, ever seen this machine before and really, nothing like it.

Alvin G. and Co did a few head-to-heads in the mid '90s that played similarly to Joust... 

 

They're quite rare though, so it's not a surprise that most people haven't heard of them.

I wouldn't exactly call them common in arcades at all.. but I guess a few of them have been made. The only one I've ever been aware of was Joust though. 

 

Oh and also this one which I had as a kid.

Man as a Joust fan that thing is kind of my holy grail. I've never even seen one in person, which is good I guess, because I couldn't afford it anyway.
