Emanuele #1 Posted October 26, 2019 Dear all, question for you: I am trying to use Intv with a HDMI tv since my 80's old good tv is concluding its long journey. In particolar, using a RF to AV box to connect the console and the HDMI tv. When I use the LTO Flash! and in particular I want to go back from a game to a folder and then to main menu using the reset button, it is like the console goes disconnected and I have to launch again a channel selection on the RF to AV box to start again to play. Hope I explained it quite clearly. Is this a normal problem using Intv console and LTO Flash! with a HMDI tv? Any idea on how to fix this? Many thanks in advance. Sinjinhawke #2 Posted October 26, 2019 My hook-up is Intellivision RF cable to a stereo VCR. Then VCR to LCD TV via composite cable. I found audio was iffy if I went direct to TV and non-existent with the System Changer. Hitting reset functions normally for me using this set-up. Do RF to AV boxes bump up the signal? Does anything improve the signal from RF or is a mod required?
+intvsteve #3 Posted October 26, 2019 Just guessing, I suspect that the conversion box may have a feature that reacts to "losing" the input signal while you're holding the reset button down on the console. Sometimes to be "user friendly" these boxes have features that can be annoying. Hopefully this is a feature of the converter box that can be turned off. Could you share with us the model number and brand of RF to A/V converter you are using? Maybe others here on the forum have had a similar experience with the same model. This problem has not happened for me. It was surprising (in a very happy way) to discover that my new TV (released in 2018) still supports RF coaxial input directly. The manufacturer does not document that this will work at all. So luckily, I don't need use any converters at all! (Just the simple RF to coaxial plug adapter). If your TV still has a coaxial input for DTV antenna input, it just *might* still support old fashioned analog input, too. Sometimes it is easier to just keep using the same hardware in software in new TVs. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it.".
Emanuele #4 Posted October 26, 2019 Thank you for your replies. I here share a picture of the mentioned RF to AV box. I will try to understand a bit better the feature related to the input signal and how to switch it off.

I guess the advantage of the VCR is it makes a great stand. Still that’s a handy gizmo. Hard to find on Amazon or I don’t know how to look for them. +intvsteve #6 Posted October 26, 2019 Looks like this. I couldn't find a manual for model X000TU3BVR and the directions at Amazon aren't very detailed. I looked at the reviews on Amazon (there are only 3) and one question... What's interesting is that this device appears to support PAL as well … and for such a low price, I am tempted to get one just to see if it will work with the UK and Australian units I have... Unfortunately, the common complaint is that there is no documentation for it.
Sinjinhawke #7 Posted October 26, 2019 That’s the reason. It does not ship to the People’s Democratic Republic of Canuckistan. There were some other options that came up though. I wonder how it looks if you run the RF to AV the use an AV to HDMI. Must try when I get home. Sucks being a loser working on a Saturday.

I have one of those converter boxes, but do not have the connector and cable that connects on the far right. Could you share a picture of it, or the name of the type of connector? It is not familiar to me. I am in the USA with an NTSC console. Thanks.
