ballyalley
I thought that there would be a Halloween-themed game thread. I did a search and couldn't find one for the Atari. I did find one for the Apple II, but although someone posed the question, no one answered it. Can anyone point out a few games that have a Halloween theme? Or are spooky? adam242
Druidarium is a very nice WIP... The Witching Hour was a nice BASIC type-in back in the day. Couldn't find a dump of it. Edited October 30, 2019 by adam242
erichenneke
Well War Room has a halloween-themed easter egg hidden in it if you haven't already discovered it. Hint, you get to it from the title screen. From there, it's not hard to find. Once unlocked it will stay in Halloween mode until system is reset. erichenneke
I'd also say hobgoblin is pretty spooky.

Mclaneinc
Mountain King, again the old "it plays well" over graphics, its not horrible to look at but its very simple....Chock loads of fun... +davidcalgary29
Does no one play Infocom games anymore?? Suspect is the obvious choice here with its Hallowe'en Ball setting, but both Moonmist and The Lurking Horror are appropriately atmospheric. And what about The Asylum? I did say there were too many text & graphic adventures to list along these lines. But I also refrained from mentioning any because I wasn't sure if they were the type of "games" the thread starter wanted. ballyalley
My friend and I ended up playing Dark Chambers. It's not exactly Halloween-themed, but it's got a bit of spooky-ish music. There are some other neat suggestions here. I plan to try some of these out next week with a friend of mine. Adam

Well, simple search on "Halloween" word and there's a thread from 2011 with exactly the same title:

Lord Thag
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Maxwell Manor, as it's obviously halloween themed, and a greatly expanded Haunted House/Adventure/Galahad style game. Really fun, if tough. http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-maxwell-manor-the-skull-of-doom_3272.html
