Tempest
Other than testing a few prototypes, I don't think I've ever played the 2600 version (I grew up with the 8-bit version). This should be interesting.
Novastar
Fair warning to all. This game is really easy to clear your score. It restarts the game if you press the button after the game ends. But people usually are pressing the button like mad I the hopes of getting that last enemy or to prevent death. This is a good one to film if you have the ability. Even a cell phone cam might do. The better your run, the more frustrated you will be if the score gets cleared before you get your pic. At least having a video might mean you could rewind to the last frame you had a valid score. Such a great game. Looking forward to playing it this week. Edited November 7, 2019 by Novastar Making sure it doesn't sound complaining. Being a dad who also works for the State of California, I hear so much whining and crying, sometimes even from the kids. I don't want to seem to add to the fires. Love the game 2

Rogerpoco
Centipede-59,893 Beat my previous PB by 20k or so, pretty big surprise, just picking the game up "cold". Might try to improve this, but TBH am pretty satisfied, played a little over my head.

Lauren Tyler
28,877 How this brings back memories of when my mother got this for our Atari 2600 when I was little, as well as playing it at the local convenience store. How I loved the cabinet art for Centipede.

While that is flattering (thank you!), I can say with 100% certainty that is not the case. I.e. There are many MANY games that a few of people here can (and do) destroy me on (cough cough OldManG cough ROGER cough cough NADS cough ... and I have no doubt with how fast PatLarocque's skill is improving, he'll be smacking me around a bit in no time at all too LOL!) I have always immensely enjoyed the 2600, even as newer consoles were released throughout the past few decades. More enjoyment = more devotion ... and there may be a correlation between that and performance Cheers, and thank you again Edited November 9, 2019 by ZilchSr 1

I like Bionic Commando, for instance, but I have no desire to check out the NES port. If I hear an arcade game has a 2600 version, however, I'm immediately interested even if it differs wildly from the original (for those unaware, Polaris is based on a pretty okay arcade game, although it lacks what I call the "River Raid" stage).
Novastar
I don't think I can do better than this. 78050 I set a goal to get to 20K before I lost a life, this was the only time I did it. Creating corridors as explained in the manual was really helpful, as knowing when you get extra lives (at 10K). So don't do anything dangerous when you are about to get a new life. Hey Nova, that's a great score! I think, however, you may have played it on the other game selection (teddy bear) rather than Game 1. Not sure if any of that matters, but I figured I'd point it out to ya just in case you weren't ultimately credited with a score and stopped playing before the time ran out to submit and ended up with no score
