Serguei2
There's an annoying bar when playing Quake 2 on windows 10. Also I only play on software mode, not OpenGL mode. I tried everything, color 8/16 bit mode, win95,98 to win 8. No luck.
DragonGrafx-16
You tried a modern source port? I use one to play it on Win7. You can even blow up the resolution. https://www.yamagi.org/quake2 I use this one. Edited November 10, 2019 by DragonGrafx-16 2
MrMaddog
1.) Get the latest Point Release Patch 3.24 to support widescreen modes like 1080p. 2.) Use DXGL to run software mode in fullscreen (converts DirectDraw to OpenGL). 3.) Do NOT use software render when going underwater, the game will crash. Switch to OpenGL and back again when done. That's how I got software render mode to work on a copy of Quake II I got from GOG using Windows 10...
