I had a feeling I should practice Bermuda Triangle a few months ago. It's still been a while but I hope my recent familiarity with the game will pay off. I like these picks -- it's always nice to see some 2K Atari given some attention (Sky Diver is always surprisingly fun).

First shot, let's see how long these last.  I know I can do better on most of them.

I used to play Sky Diver all the time as a kid (I got it thinking it was like Time Pilot, but ended up loving it anyway), but I swear something's off now.  There must be a minimal threshold for opening your chute because half the time it wasn't opening.  Very frustrating.  I even cleaned my joystick thinking there was something wrong but no, sometimes nothing happened no matter how hard I pulled down.

 

Spitfire Attack is kind of boring.  A nice tech demo I guess, but dull.  Then suddenly it goes nuts around 30,000

 

Bermuda Triangle is sort of the same way.  Really dull until you hit that 10,000 point threshold when the laser shows up then it becomes unfair due to the randomness of it.  Once again a nice idea, but poor execution.  That's Data Age for you.

 

Thunderground I've played around with before and thought it was an interesting concept.  I could have sworn it was an arcade port, but I can't find anything on it.  Takes too long to ramp up but a fun game.

I know that, but with the moving platform it's hard to get a late chute pull and hit it every time.  There's got to be a trick.

Sky Diver Game 3-82

This is a little better than I expected-I've tended to stand pat as long as a score is decent(I have Wanderlust...), but I may try this again after the other games.

Obvious strategy, pull the chute late, but do make sure to pull it-crashing hurts the points-if you at least get the chute pulled you have some chance of sticking the landing.

As far as actually hitting the moving platforms on purpose, someone else has to help with that I'm just taking leaps of faith...
