guitarmas
...I couldn't resist. I thought it was a pretty good deal at the time. How did I do? ... Edited November 20, 2019 by guitarmas
Flojomojo
You did great, even if you only got two games. Congratulations!

Flojomojo
I really liked the Virtual Console on that machine. The store is closed now, which is an invitation to install the "Homebrew Channel" if you are feeling adventuresome.
guitarmas
Yeah me too. I used to have another Wii years ago. The Virtual Console was really good. I liked Rondo of Blood. It was a hard game, most definitely, but I kept coming back for more. Too bad the Wii store is gone. Austin
Getting the Homebrew Channel on it is supposedly really simple. Outside that, there are lots of great games on physical media.

c0op3r
Beauty of the Wii now if dont ever need to buy a game you can hack it with a few simple online tools and an SD card. But even then the games are stupid cheap.

Lego Indy sits on my shelf for this very purpose. I occasionally still get asked about it. (homebrew channel.) Really, homebrew channel + MMM and the various emulator launchers make the Wii a joy to keep around. It will even do DosBox! (with USB keyboard and mouse attached!) For the price this guy paid, he can't go wrong. (For my Wii Dosbox setup, I used one of the many DOS based game menu launchers with a "loading" area mounted as drive Y:. Since you can point to batch files, and dosbox allows batch operation of its internal commands, you can for instance, do floppy booter games and the like that way easily from a list. Fun times. guitarmas
I just scored a perfect and complete copy of Wii Play for $1.50 at Goodwill. Hmm...I think I feel myself slowly turning into a Wii fan. Should I be apprehensive? 1
