VectorGamer #1 Posted November 25, 2019 Downloaded the PC Engine set for my Retropie last night and playing these games for the first time. Played Galaga, Raiden and 1943 so far. Games look impressive. Recommend me some games to explore. I prefer games that are easy to understand and preferably shooters.
Tanooki #2 Posted November 25, 2019 I'll give you a nudge, these are the games I've picked up, and retained around also having a PC everdrive too. A couple like Aoi Blink for one I got after the fact as I really liked it. This is a paste of a game list inventory I've kept forever so I don't ever forget things. I can give you any kind of a write up or a 'WHY' at least these would be good grabs and I can add more. Also I would call this site required reading: http://www.videogameden.com/hucard.htm and that's because they do some excellent smaller sized but qualified write ups, have some omake goodies on some, and a few shared reviews as well between members there and I've trusted their reasoning quite well. It's a fast load site, not bloated, so it could be a good one to skim and even breaks the games down A-Z and by genre too with little icons on the left. (CIC= Case+Insert+huCard) 2/3 of my stuff is complete - 1943 Kai (CIC) - After Burner II (CIC) - Alien Crash (CIC) - Aoi Blink (CIC) - Bomberman '93 (CIC) - Bomberman '94 (CIC) - DetanaII Twinbee - Devil Crash (CIC) - Dragon Egg! (CIC) - Dragon Spirit (CIC) - Galaga 88 - Gradius - Gunhed (CIC) - Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu - Makyo Densetsu (The Legendary Axe) (CIC) - Nekketsu Kou Kou Dodge Ball Bu - PC Bangai Hen (CIC) - Out Run (CIC) - Parodius - Saigo no Nindou - Ninja Spirit - Shinobi (CIC) - Special Criminal Investigation (CIC) - Street Fighter II' Champion Edition (CIC) - Super Star Soldier - Time Cruise II

+GoldenWheels #4 Posted November 25, 2019 Some shooters that do a little something different: Barunba (has a cool rotating aiming system) Avenger (kind of a weird 'lock angle' aiming system, great soundtrack) Saint Dragon (Weird dragon ship where the body blocks enemy shots) Mr. Heli (cool, slower paced shooter where your ship/guy can walk on platforms) Space Invaders (Ok you have to like SI in the first place, BUT this has an awesome updated version with power ups etc) Damn and there is one more I can't remember...it's a tank shooter, each screen is a battle, you move between screens, turret can lock direction so you can kind of strafe....damn. Maybe when I get home I'll remember to check. EDIT: Metal Stoker!
