So, is it considered bad form for people to vote for their own game? Asking for a friend. :P

The criteria by which you vote is complete up to you! You can pass that info on to your friend. ?

The voting system is nearly in place now, sorry for the delay. It's going through its last tests at the moment and is almost ready!!

Ok. Thanks!

We're almost there, just sorting out the last of the technical issues!

Also, once the polls go up we'll also be extending the voting deadline so that you have ample chance to vote on your favourites of 2019. In the mean time you can download the binary game packs listed at the top of this thread to start your evaluations!

Exactly. I suppose some vote for themselves and some don't.

To be more precise, my rule of thumb:

If you think your game is really the best and that your are non-biased enough to make that decision, then you might vote for your own game (or not). Else I would always vote for the best game in compo.

Should the 2018 vote threads be retired to avoid confusion when the 2019 polls go live ?

The 2018 voting topics are locked and should stay at the bottom of the thread list. ? I think it's important to keep around the discussion that took place in those threads for historical purposes.
