Wow. I didn't realize how many games there were. Neat to see mine listed. Hope I can move it to a different category in subsequent years. Lol

Will a zipped up rom archive exist for all nominees by category so that we can easily play them when the voting starts?

You bet! We want to make the voting as easy as possible so we'll make sure you have access to all the publicly available ROMs of the nominated games.

No wonder Albert hasn't replied to my PM. He's probably lying in a corner of a dark room in the fetal position saying "all work and no play makes Al a dull boy" over and over again.

Nowadays there are more Atari VCS homebrews than official commercial releases?

Yes... very much so. There are 26 physical releases for 2019 (so far), not counting hacks that were released on cartridge. Alot more are released as ROMs online.

Green font are PRGE 2019 releases.

v13 & v15 were on Zeropage Homebrew, we have a possible RC1 ROM which will be featured on ZPH again. Hoping to do a physical release (cart and manual) for Mardi Gras Day 2020 (Feb 25, 2020) with Mardi Gras goodies included (beads, doubloons, King Cake Baby), and a high score patch to earn also.

Only the beta testers have the early ROM versions of Mardi Gras.

There are some WIPs in the list which were already competing as WIPs last year. So they shouldn't be eligible for another year.

I *might* be inclined to leave a WIP on the list if there had been major changes from one year to the next.

on the other hand, a one and done policy might serve as incentive for developers to finish up so that they can qualify as finished/released...

I don't really consider Bifröst to be a WIP.  It was finished long ago.  The most recent changes were more of a patch to allow it to play on ZPH's funky hardware setup.

So the version James played at the show was exclusive only? Too bad.

The one I played on the show was updated on Feb 18, 2019  with many changes. I've added it to the WIP list at the top, thanks for the reminder Thomas!
