keithbk
Anyone have any screenshots or gameplay video of this one? I would love to see it, but cannot locate any images other that the cartridge art.
jwelsh
Indeed. From what i understand it's like Adventure. Ive been looking for gameplay for it and Goblin Chaser for a month.
hizzy
I'm crazy about adventure. I hope the programmer sees this and posts some screen caps or video
keithbk
Does ANYONE own this game? LOL
+save2600
Isn't Drakon Croisade - Adventure II from the Flashback machines? N/M... sounds like Drakon Croisade is further enhanced graphically. Was mixed up there.
keithbk
It seems odd that no one knows anything about this game. Anyone know its history?
s0c7
This is pure speculation on my part, but based on the description, my guess would be whoever the author is used this as a starting point and made some changes. Nobody appears to want to drop the $22.75 to find out. People have been wondering about it for years now (almost identical conversation below). https://www.retrovideogamer.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=6965.
+KaeruYojimbo
I'd like to see Good Deal Games include more information about their games on the website. A lot of them have development threads here that are easy enough to track down, but it doesn't seem like too much to ask to put up at least a screen shot or two for the games that don't (or even just definitively state if a game is a hack or an original homebrew, which the Drakon Croisade description is a little vague on). I actually have a ROM for Goblin Chaser, but I can't remember where I found it and can't say for sure if it's the finished game or a work in progress version. Based on how little there is to the game, I hope it's a WIP. But if it is the finished version, I can see why they aren't in a hurry to release any screen shots or gameplay video.
s0c7
It's specifically listed as a hack here: https://web.archive.org/web/20171223121447/http://www.atari2600homebrew.com/home/category/drakon-croisade I've never seen a rom for it, but the screenshots of Goblin Chaser are underwhelming: https://web.archive.org/web/20171222172750/http://www.atari2600homebrew.com/goblin-chaser.html Also not quite sure how they are selling AA released games slightly cheaper than AA.
+KaeruYojimbo
That's actually probably where I found the Goblin Chaser ROM (Wayback Machine doesn't have it archived though). It's about on the level of some of the example bB programs on Random Terrain's site. I have no idea why anyone would think it needed a cartridge release. Thomas Jentzsch
Rule of thumb: no screenshots = bad game
hizzy
This isn't much, but it's from forum member froggogamer: "Drakon Croisade 2600 09/14/17 (Could never find any info on it so I bought a copy, and it was a blast, I love Atari hacks too. Need a Haunted House hack.)"
Raspookin
Drakon Croisade is a fine Adventure homebrew/hack with the aforementioned enhanced graphics (you're still a square) and larger game world, a worthy part of my Adventure collection (I have a baker's dozen of them). Goblin Chaser barely qualifies as a game; it's pretty much just a game of tag with primitive basic AI. Not really sure why it's even on a cart.
+KaeruYojimbo
The ROM I had for Goblin Chaser is final. It and a bunch of other Grey Games ROMs can be found here. It's a 4K game and I'm guessing about 3 and a half K of that is the title screen. Still no Drakon Croisade ROM or even a screenshot anywhere.
