Sega mega drive cart fault

Hey,

I've got a megadrive cart which when inserted the console will not switch on. No power indicator led. Work fine with other carts.

Is it totally fried? Or can I save it.

Just wondering if it is a common fault and if it has a fix.

Thanks for reading.

Could be one of a few things...

- cartridge edge connector could be dirty

- cartridge slot could be dirty

- cartridge slot could be weak from too much use of circuit boards that are too thick (not very common)
- board could have a problem like being cracked (chip can be transplanted to a donor board)

- chip could be fried

First thing to do would be to try it in another system.
