1986 Casino Box

After so many years and never seeing this, I finally acquired it without knowing it was this version. The 1986 Casino variation is extremely rare. Doing a search on Ebay yields nothing from what I can see. I don't even see a loose cartridge from this date. But with a purchase I just made, I received the variation in the box. But better yet, this is brand new sealed. Though not perfect, this is the first box I ever saw. Atarimania doesn't have a scan. I'm sure some collectors out there do though. So here are my scans. The website will be updated shortly.

Very nice. I found a CIB in a local shop in April this year. I had passed it by so many times it’s not even funny. I started trying to chase down Atari Corp versions when I had pretty much completed most of my CIB Inc set. I paid $5 for my CIB Corp Casino.

Once I actually stopped and read the labels or boxes I found a bunch of Corp stuff out there. 90a317c377e73c327c9663e8a6dc9976.jpg

Atari Corp made some very interesting choices in the early (2K and 4K) games that they chose to re-release during the crash.

These are all of my Corp CIBs. I have almost all of the carts loose but the gray boxes are really head scratchers considering that Nintendo was entering the scene around this time. b88ac6fc69f300926b30a6ee08db8ae2.jpg

Is that small T&F box a homebrew box?

I thought I had read somewhere that is was during the transition from Text to Pic labels on certain early titles, but maybe not.

I think my text label Casino and Backgammon came in Special Edition boxes.  I *think* anyway...
