The C64 clone, The Equalizer was written by Gavin Raeburn who turned out a load of budget titles under the Power House label, most games were pretty good...

He now graces the consoles working on a certain Rally car sim, can't remember which one although Dirt seems to ring a bell.

Loved Poltergeist and Thunderbolt on C64 at the time.

He went onto be involved in likes of:

Pyscho Pinball (Mega Drive)

GRID

DIRT

Forza 1-4

Very nice !!! Looking good in NTSC, as well (real HW)..

I would only consider a less busy / congested background pattern, so closer-to-foreground objects are rendered with better tonal separation (eg. a bit more dimensional)

Keep up the great work !!!

I would second this comment.  That is - if you are able to find a better alternative that works better - then do so.  The creatures/whatever are lost a bit with that wall/brick pattern - and the white blocks could be done better?  If you are able to experiment - find better alternatives that makes the screens/game look better - instead of a straight conversion/copy that doesn't look it's best on this Atari hardware.

My congratulations to the whole team for the great project ?, it would be nice to add Joy 2B+ support to use 2 buttons like the arcade to jump and shoot?

Regards

Is this the joystick standard you wish ?

Sounds like a good idea and not a problem to implement :)
