I would second this comment. That is - if you are able to find a better alternative that works better - then do so. The creatures/whatever are lost a bit with that wall/brick pattern - and the white blocks could be done better? If you are able to experiment - find better alternatives that makes the screens/game look better - instead of a straight conversion/copy that doesn't look it's best on this Atari hardware. I saw an ST mouse mod with changed resistor value (?) that allowed the right button to be read and still work on ST but I don't know if something similar can be done to the 7800 pads.
