MegaCart 1MB.

Odd choice, AFAIK its one of the least available boards if you wanted to do a production run? Better to go with AtariMax or XEGS from the outset.

AtariMax format would be useful if you'll add hi-score saves.

Thank you, MaxFlash is quite popular and already established programmable cartridge, so would be great if it's supported.

the adaptation to another bank switching 1MB card can be simple .

i chose mega cart as it was easy for me to developer on 1MB cart.

EDIT: forgot to mention that my friend got me mega cart to use so that is why it was first selected :)

NICE!!

Looks a lot more dimensional, with much better tonal separation, now!

Also, aspec-ratio looks better on NTSC, but crashes badly shortly after...

It would be GREAT if it could work on NTSC...

I wish everything work on both PAL and NTSC systems.

Interfacing to TVs and PAL/NTSC are what have me doing all my 8-bitting in emulation.

WIsh there was a way to have real hardware with a proper monitor switch between pal and ntsc on the fly like my Atari ST with SC1224 does.

Thank god for Altirra.

hey,

hope all are safe and doing well is this corona visrus challenging times.

here is a progress update:

 wonderboy.rom

the version is now running on mega cart 1MB, so when running this with altirra please select mega cart 1MB.

you have welcome screen, title screen, get ready screen and level in place

wonderboy is running around the level. this time the level is full length.

wonderboy power is dropping down by the minute and when it reaches zero he dies with lingering effect, so make sure to ran fast to complete level :)

collision also works (not 100% perfect) but still , if you fall from terrain platform - you die.

when level reaches the ends (goal flag) it restarts with issue, so ignore.

game work in 50 FPS for now and smooth scrolling. there are bugs, there are glitches, but hey, hoaxers are always progressing.

next steps,

revamp welcome screen, and a bit of title screen

implementing game over screen

implementing succesfull complete level screen

and adding level objects (fruits, enemies, easter eggs, doll etc...)

then level is ready :)

enjoy

and stay safe....

for your AVG/Ultimate use... did you make a car out of it? as in attach .car header and rename as car... as there are both online and on computer tools/utilities to do so...
