Did anyone here visit the Port Royal BBS back in the day?

I'm wondering is anyone remembers John the operator  of Port Royal BBS.  My understanding is it was one of the fist Atari BBSs'

 

John used to hold meetups for the participants and I went to one in the San Fernando Valley.

I know this message is a year old, but what would you like to know?  I knew John personally for many years way back when.  I lost touch with him when I moved away.  Port Royal started on an Apple ][+ clone and then moved to an Atari 1040st.  I used to go over to his place many many times and went to a number of the get togethers.  Just let me know what questions you have and I will try and answer.

@nogardvfx1970  It is good to meet you.  I have been away for a while.  I was wondering where John is today.  He was a great guy.  I loved how he gave everyone equal attention.  6 or 60 he valued everyone's input.
