Omega-TI
Okay, here's the deal. I have an 8TB HD plugged into a RPi 3B+ running KODI hooked up to the big screen as a media server. Up to now, every time I've wanted to add new movies, I've had to shut down the Pi, unplug the HD, physically move it to the den and transfer the files, only to have to take it back hook it all up again and reboot the Pi. I've tried various setting to get KODI to be recognized by my PC so I could simply use upload the files over the network, but I'm getting no joy. KODI is on the network, as I have the weather information just fine, but I'd like to be able to send stuff to it, it has to be possible... right? Google add samba share raspberry pi Or you can access your pc drives from kodi by adding a smb drive in the kodi file manager and of course sharing the pc drive. I guess I had too many windows and files and tabs open and lost track.
wierd_w
Yup. wrong place, but yeah-- add an appropriate samba share-- OR Consider using sftp. You will need an ssh daemon running on the pi. https://winscp.net/eng/docs/introduction
