Mehridian Sanders
Ok I found this self powered peripheral enclosure and am unsure as to which peripheral would be the best to add. If you had 0 peripherals what would you add? The Zip drive is just there to show space. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
GDMike
Yeah, I got two of those types of cases with power supply. I made one an external hard drive and connected it to my raspberry pi for a music Sever, then i said wth, I just connected it to my PC and used my PC to serve. What I wanted to do is make a web server driven by my pi, which I did a couple months ago, and host some stuff, then I ran outta stuff..lol so I blew away the image, and thought I could put wine on the raspberry to run a TI console, but I never could get or find wine for it. wierd_w
WINE does not natively support ARM platforms, except for ARM based windows applications (which are not common.) You would need to kludge together binfmt_misc and qemu user mode support to make that work. (Doable, but the performance will be.... bad.) As for what I would put in there.. Hmmm.... LS120 is still a good choice.
GDMike
Well that's what I heard was performance would suck..but, then I thought well, it's a TI console at best... Anyway way, I'm thinking of another project. I have a domain i bought, called Michaelsdepot.com..so maybe it could become a repository of sorts? I dunno what to do with it. (I ended up with it because this lady wanted a eBay link for her crap she's selling, but it all became a bust as she didn't Know anything, so I killed her domain name and changed it to something more appropriate for me).plus I had already paid for it and thought about putting my music there..but, I'd rather do something useful with it. Hopefully I could get a tipi one day and make a tipi compatible BBS? Is that correct?
wierd_w
Technically, you could just run synchronet on it right now as-is. http://wiki.synchro.net/howto:raspbian_install Syncronet supports telnet based connections, so *shrug*.
GDMike
Ok dokie then, how bout that! I'll give it a try - since I got a pi and monitor for it. My mind is already spinning, how to get server access to get files from my PC TI folders etc... I guess I'll find out. I'm definitely going to try this out
