Quadzilla4425 #1 Posted January 8, 2020 Hello I have the 2600 Flashback 9 and I broke my Player 1 joystick. I have 2 Player 2 joysticks and my question is this. Is there a way to control the 2600 without the use of a Player 1 joystick with 4 buttons along side? The only way I can get to my saved games in some cases is to turn off the unit and scroll back to that game. Unlike before it was just a matter of pushing the Menu button on Joystick 1 Thank you
Robotube #2 Posted January 8, 2020 I believe you're stuck powering on and off, unfortunately. Just like the good old days!

You can exchange physical parts between the joysticks, and even change the P1 and P2 around by swapping around resistors — if you open both joysticks and compare them you’ll see the differences. So if you still have the broken joystick it shouldn’t be too hard to make a new P1. Edit: Or you could make a hardwired joystick into a ‘P1’ type controller by adding the buttons: Edited January 9, 2020 by boggis the cat Added link to extra Flashback buttons.
