Rom Hunter #1 Posted January 10, 2020 http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-gorf_15653.html If so, can you please check for me which games are on the cartridge? The manual states that there may be more than one and that the cart even contains a menu. I think it may contain the same games as Mega Funpak from HES, but I need proof. Thanks in advance! Thomas Jentzsch #2 Posted January 10, 2020 The ROM is only 4K in size, so there is no 2nd game inside.
Rom Hunter #3 Posted January 10, 2020 Yes, I know. But that's not the ROM that IMO belongs there. I would like to know what is on the actual cart.
atariUCLA24 #4 Posted January 10, 2020 Such a weird thing to put in the manual... I want to find one of these now.

I have heaps of HES carts RH, including Gorf. Being aussie and all. I'll check it out for you when I get home from work. I only have a PAL Vader to test it on though. 1

Jason_Atari #7 Posted January 11, 2020 I tried it on my copies and couldn't access any hidden games.
Flojomojo #8 Posted January 11, 2020 That text in the manual sounds like a boilerplate tease. I'd check other HES-published games to see if they use it everywhere. "Try everything, you might be surprised!" I wouldn't take it too literally, like you must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance. Seems to be same code as the CBS version from USA. https://atariage.com/software_page.php?SoftwareLabelID=

Let me know if you start up with a menu and try different difficulty switches. Thanks in advance!

Will grab it soon though. 10 hours ago, Jason_Atari said: I tried it on my copies and couldn't access any hidden games. Yeh, likewise. Tried all the switch combinations @Rom Hunter. ie bw/color, game select, difficulty switches. Standard attract mode. The games starts by pressing the fire button. Thomas Jentzsch #11 Posted January 11, 2020 (edited) Just to be sure: You are changing the switches before switching on the console, right? Edited January 11, 2020 by Thomas Jentzsch

Rom Hunter #13 Posted January 12, 2020 Many thanks, Spriggy. Well, I don't know what to think of all this. Seems that both Boom Bang and Gorf from HES only display one game after all, although the instructions suggest something else. I will keep both ROMs in the database. If someone comes up with a different version of Boom Bang or Gorf, please let me know.
