Mehridian Sanders Posted January 13, 2020 Share Posted January 13, 2020 I have come into possession of a Xeltek Superpro/L - 32 Pin ZIF - Rom Master (E)EPROM Programmer. I was also lucky enough to have the manual accompany it. The Manual indicates that it can work with IBM-PC XT/AT, 8086/88, 80286, and 80386 architecture. If memory serves from one of my really early posts (November?) , this form of architecture will work with the 99/4a EEPROMs and GROMs? 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It will definitely work for some of the chips we use, but the device list will be the only place (either as part of the manual or as part of the programmer software) that will give definitive answers. Look at the linked list. It looks like this programmer will do any of the 27xxx series EPROMs we use now for most everything we build. It won't do the more uncommon 25XX series chips (TI used a lot of these in their hardware, but they were rarely used in third-party stuff). Assuming that your PC will support the device (and the list of supported chips includes chips that you can use on the TI) it should be of value. Otherwise, it is a door stop. I only say probably, because you MAY be able to get it to program similar devices from unlisted manufacturers to the devices in the list, as long as they use the same voltages and programming algorithms.
