Odds and Even Number Checks?

I was trying to figure out, is there an easy way to check if a variable is an odd or even number?  Or to perform a check on a variable so that if it is something like u=u+1, then each increment something like ballx acts differently?

 

Or possibly check to see if the variable had increased or decreased a certain number of times?  

 

 

Whoops.  Meant to post this in the Batari Basic forum but either way I would be curious of other ways.

For even or odd, check bit 0.

Ah. I didn't think to look under that section. I had probably read past that numerous times too.
