Jaguar battery corrosion

Recommended Posts

Cartridges that save data tend to use cell type batteries like the CR2032... this was common way before the Jaguar as well (NES) and those tend to not leak.

Does the Jaguar or any of its cartridges have batteries that need to be checked for leakage?

No. Neither the console nor the cartridges use batteries.

So do jag games not save any highscore data or such like? Or do they use a non-battery backed up method?

Correct  - some games don't save high scores, and some save on an EEPROM.  No batteries required.
