+Andrew Davie
Don't know quite what to make of this... The FB link may or may not be public - but it's basically a video showing a '2600 unit with a space invaders cartridge, and space invaders playing on an embedded LCD screen. The implication is that the screen is showing the system play the game. I haven't been able to listen to the video, alas, so i really don't know what's up. But the comment about the atari circuitry can't handle the 1024x768 screams "fake" to me. Aside from the fact that that's not a '2600 display! It's all a bit bizarre... https://www.facebook.com/100006660992334/videos/pcb.3457554697619502/2642829622615712/?type=3&theater&ifg=1
+save2600
Probably just stuffed the guts of a Flashback unit and LCD screen inside a VCS case. SI cart there for deceptive appearances. ?

Deteacher
I just saw it posted under the Atariage FB page. It's clearly a Pi, shoved into an Atari. If he's being honest about what it is, it's pretty cool. If he's trying to pass it off as an actual Atari, then he's a tool.

That was my first thought as well; that's not the 2600 version of SI on the screen!
+save2600
It's why I thought they stuffed a FB unit in there... here's the version of Space Invaders on them: ....but the screenshot in the first post doesn't show the spare bases or level number. Overscan or resolution issue? Arcade version would show number of credits in place of levels and the arcade version would NOT say 'Player 2 Press Fire!'. Arcade simply reads Score 1 or 2 above. ...gotta be a FB unit in that VCS shell. lol
+Andrew Davie
It's a Raspberry Pi 4. Apparently all the '2600 switches have been wired to work, so it's a stand-alone game machine. Beats me why you'd use a '2600 though, and also beats me why you wouldn't just say up-front what it is. Anyway, case closed... nothing more to see... move on, please.
