Frankie
Upgrading I understand. I was trying out 3.1 but found out it doesn't work well with SDX. So I tried downgrading but it just says "firmware update not available". Have I gone down a one-way path? Frank

Anytime I tried access a drive to copy something I would get a NAK timeout. ... but I read that the original 1.3 firmware had the IO speed set to $0A (51kb/s). I switched it back to that and everything started working normally. No more need to downgrade.
Marius
There is one thing I loved in the older firmware of Sio2SD and that was the more easy way of swapping mounted ATR's. Perhaps I do not understand the newest firmware right... the virtual drives thing did not actually made it better (for me). The reason I want to stay with the newest firmware is the fact that it can create new ATR's, which is really handy. Wished thought that swapping ATR's would be the way it was in the older firmware. lemiel
Did you turn off TopDrive in 3.1 firmware? It was probably reason of timeout.
