+MrFish
Has a manual for the 800XE ever been scanned and made public?
+Allan
Not be me or Kevin. So probably not. I wish I could get me hands on one.

+Allan
Something tells me we are going to be disappointed with this manual.
+Allan
It looks like the just stuck a sticker on the 65XE handbook. 1
+MrFish
Haha... not surprising though, given that the Euro 65XE was the same machine. I suppose there's not much difference between the U.S. and Euro manual version either, if any at all. I hope it at least mentioned the ECI in the Euro manual. I'll have to see if I can dig that one up. Alright, I know how I want to handle it on my website now. Thanks for the help Allan.
andymanone
Not sure if it´s useful, but here you´ll find the 65XE (w/o ECI) and the 130XE (ECI) manual scans: -> Atari 400 800 XL XE Manuals Gtx., andY

I was looking at the Atari FAQ, and see that the late production NTSC 65XE's were also supposed to have been equipped with an ECI, which I hadn't heard about before. manterola
My 65xe ntsc came with eci and it was mentioned in the manual. Inside included a 130xe motherboard with space and pads for 2 additional memory chips and the emmu. I would love to have that manual back into my hands...

I was particularly looking for English right now; but I may get to adding other languages eventually.

OK, good to know they updated the manuals for the later 65XE's. Yeah, it'd be nice to have it, for completeness.

Do you have pictures of the board and the bottom case serial?
manterola
@kheller2, the board is the typical 64x4 motherboard with space for four 4464 ram chips but only two populated and some jumpers in the emmu space, like the one here: The one in the picture is PAL, mine is NTSC, but the MB looks the same. Let me take a picture of the label and I will post it soon. Edit: here it is, not very clear after all these years. Better than Atari 130XE Owner's manual (1986) who doesn't even cover graphics modes > 8... Thanks!
