boss and wico command control internals

Do the Boss Joystick and the Command Control Joysticks have the same internals or is there a difference?   I have seen command control sticks with red handles like the boss and wonder if they are the same stick.

The direction mechanism is very similar for both, with the four internal switches.

 

Electronically the Command Control is different to the Boss, having a top trigger and a base trigger with a switch on the base to select which trigger is used.

 

The Command Control has the changeable handle options.

 

The Boss is the fixed system with a single trigger button on top (the handle turns, so point it front facing).  The Boss is the earlier release and was aimed at the VCS market.

 

(Note: Wico also released the Computer Command...which may have been for grown-ups!)
