Always nice to see 16:9 console games from that era. Hopefully it doesn't get taken down.

Hah... I watched this as a playable demo at the first Blizzcon!  Didn't try it because I wasn't really interested.  Then it disappeared.

So it was playable at one point? My friend always told me that he had played a demo, which I always said is impossible since a playable demo never existed. Or so I thought.

I remember counting the days until release. Then a week prior to release, it would get delayed again, every time. Then the GameCube version got cancelled. Then it got delayed again and again and again and then 7th gen consoles released and the game vanished. At least Nova herself made it into StarCraft II, which is probably the single most disappointing game I have played in the past 2 decades. Actually, no, Samus Returns is just plain not a good game and worse than the original Metroid II, but still, StarCraft II has a whole lot of problems.

Yes, from what I remember it was a multiplayer only demo.  They had a bunch of network XBoxes.  Now that I have thought about it some more, I may have actually played for a few minutes because I faintly remember choosing a Zerg and running around.  15 years is a long time to remember stuff.  :)

And I just found this article which corroborates my fading memory:  http://ps2.gamespy.com/playstation-2/starcraft-ghost/662514p1.html

Interesting. Maybe he went to Blizzcon, but he's from PA/NYC area, so I'm not sure. He joined the Army after we both got out of the Marines, and he's been a bit hard to get a hold of for the past year because of training and stuff.
