Question about Jaguar Boot without Cart

I came across a loose Jaguar console $30 at a thrift store while traveling out of state for work. No carts available and all my stuff is back home.  I bridge cart pins 34B and 35B to see if it would power on and it does. However I don't get the Jaguar logo or Red Screen. So my question is with out a cart and bridging these two pins does the Jaguar display anything?

I am sure more knowledgeable people like Zerosquare or CyranoJ can provide a definitive answer but personally I would think that without a cart it would fail the checksum which should result in the Red Screen of Death.

Without a cart, the Jaguar won't turn on (no led, nothing).

I bridged the two Pins on the underside of the motherboard. No jamming into the slot lol

Try jamming a cartridge into the slot. 

That's what I do. Works a treat!

Sorry for the delay, I was in vacation abroad. If you bridge pins 34B and 35B and power on the Jaguar without a cartridge, you should get the red screen of death with the Jaguar logo. If you don't, then there's something wrong with the console, unfortunately.
