Atari XMM 801 Dot Matrix

Just picked up a Atari XMM 801 Dot Matrix for a project.  Anyone in the US good at servicing these if I run into issues?  I'm in California- Fww

 

Any words of wisdom with AtariWriter 80?

What is your project? I have an Atari XMM 801 too.

It's a Multi-Meda presentation about my history with computers and a software company a friend and I had.  I thought it would be cool to include some pages printed out in dot matrix.  Do you have a favorite piece of software you use with your printer?

Does your graphic mod work too and are you using Atariwriter?

I need to try Printshop, so far just Atariwriter but the self test has graphics I think.  I need to get a new ribbon too.  I got some Green Bar in the mail today.  More later.

If you need the print shop drives I'll post it. Oh are you using a XL/XE system? The drive only works for the XL/XE systems.

Here's the drive you have to boot the driver first than you'll boot into Printshop.

Thanks I will try it in the next few days.  I have a XEGS with a U1mb upgrade.   I've heard you need to use the Printshop with the blue back ground.  I have both.  It's the wife's birthday tomorrow so it will keep me from my Atari tomorrow.  And I have to play catch up the day after.  I will let you know what happens once I test it.

Best word processor for 8bit atari is of course The Last Word written by @flashjazzcat. Best invention since the wagonwheel and sliced bread.

 

Does need XL/XE though. It has Printerdriver for your printer.
