spawnerbr
Hi all. Is possible to use an EPROM and burn/programming as the GROM or only get an original IC? Thanks. Edited March 1, 2020 by spawnerbr
mr_me
If you look at an intellivision schematic and grom data sheet you'll see that the grom has to read multiplexed data/address lines and also provide addressing to the gram. You could probably use an eprom if you also provide the other functions a grom chip performs.

mr_me
If you create the other circuitry you could probably use any eprom. It's how some old prototype cartridges worked. There are people here that might have spare grom chips, how do you know it's the grom that is bad?

I use other Intellivision with same board to test the ICs from mine.
mr_me
You can create a thread requesting an RO-3-9503 chip. It's in this ebay lot but you'd have to ask the seller about shipping to you. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intellivision-2609-8-Different-IC-Chips-Used-TESTED-GOOD-FREE-SHIPPING-/264271964956 Edited March 1, 2020 by mr_me
