2 disk drives and printer set up?

Hello all. I have 2 of the 1541 drives and an MP803 printer that I am trying to hook up to the C64 all at the same time. Is this possible just with what I have and a few serial cables, or is some external interface needed? 

(I couldn't find this exact set up diagram in the manual, but if someone has their system set up like this and can send me the steps to hook it up, it would help me out!)

Should just be able to daisy chain everything together, with the printer being last in line of course. You'll need to change the ID number of one of the drives to avoid conflict with the other too.

If I connected either back port of just one drive directly to the back of the computer instead, could I plug the printer directly into the other port at the back of that drive?

Yes, that was the typical setup BITD.

Strange as it may seem, it really is that simple. That was a very common setup way back when.......
