This is a great question.  On the TI, (I do not have an F18a (yet..) for 80 column support), I use JediMatt's TIPI Telnet which supports ANSI in 64 column mode on real iron.  Since it does not support file transfers, I use Jeff Brown's TERM80 on the TI (which also supports ANSI), when I want to transfer files.  I would use the TI more if I had an F18a (Mk I or Mk II).  Until then, I end up using SyncTERM (for the ANSI music support) and Netrunner.  I would love to see a full featured TIPI/serial ANSI terminal, supporting file transfer protocols and speech support.  I appreciate all the work you, M@ and others have done to make the TI-99/4a able to access and utilize BBSs!

Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback.  Keep it coming.  I am thinking about about whether to add any ANSI code into the BBS program (AfterHours) I am working on.

Right now, the program has been up and running for 24 hours without crashing and has been picking up dropped calls, etc.

I am going to post in the AfterHours topic access information.

I am not familiar with TIMXT.  If it is a modified version of MXT and supports ANSI, then select MXT from the poll.
