HDTV and my jag

Recommended Posts

Yeah so I spolied myself and bought a 47 inch hdtv 16:9 widescreen tv. Just wondering if anyone else runs there jag off a hdtv? how does the jag compensate for the widescreen? is it better? Just have to wait till my tv comes in to try it out.

I use a SONY Wega HDTV...

The Jaguar knows nothing of the display it is connected to (how could it), so it doesn't ""compensate" for any display stretching or filtering etc...

However a my Jag looks very good on the HDTV tube, with the line doubler turned on -- so no scan lines :)

I run my Jag on a 27" Samsung Dyna-Flat HDTV. My TV is not widescreen though so I have no problems as far as that goes.

Which 47" did you grab?

I've got my eye out for a Panasonic 53" widescreen HDTV.

(I got me an Onkyo Surround sound system (650 watts) and it blows

my room away, now I need a matching tv with superior definition ;)

Haha, I couldn't even imagine playing T2K on my surround sound and

a anticipated 53"... I sweat as it is on a 19" ;) 53" may kill me! ;)

hahaha, Iron Soldier *the way it was meant to be played ;)

Enjoy your new TV and let me know how it all works out! :)

I need a S-Video cable for my Jag now. I run my PSX and Dreamcast in S-Video and they look great. I run the X-Box through component of course so I can enjoy the high-def. I just got a nice S-Video switch so I can hook quite a few S-Vid's in. I need to find a S-Vid cable for the Jag.

The Jag will put a 3x4 STD TV picture on your screen. You can always

use stretch mode to have it fill the screen.

I have the RCA 38" HDTV (largest picture tube made). I haven't

used my Jag on it yet, but have done so with the PS2.

Actually, Sony makes a 40" tube HDTV. Check it out.

Hey hyper dont bother with the cable, go out and spend the extra on a scatbox, well worth the extra coin.

That's what I was thinking about. I may do that.
