+acadiel
I'm converting files for UberGROM format, and I have several files that seem to exist in "converted" GROM format (i.e. copy from GROM to 32K and run). I need native GROM images to try and create accurate cartridge images (where 32K isn't present, the game still runs): -> Paddle Ball -> Angler Dangler -> Lasso -> Lobster Bay If these files were only ever released as EA/5, and thus formatted to either ROM CopyTo32K or GROM CopyTo32K, then that's ok - just let me know. Thanks!
+mizapf
The MAME dumps of Lasso seem to be GROM dumps (see http://ftp.whtech.com/Cartridges/MAME/zip/lasso.zip), at least for GROMs 3-6. The dump of GROM 7 is too short for a GROM, though; hopefully, only zeros were clipped. No GROM dumps for the others. I'm certainly also interested if there are some.

That's pretty much the same dump from Lasso than I had. And yes, the last one was clipped. I just padded it to 6,144 bytes. It runs from 32K when you run it, which tells me someone converted it to "copy from GROM to 32K and run" format at some point.
+arcadeshopper
based on the original post it was converted to 32k: It was released in Object code form - I've converted it into a cartridge for easier loading in emulators. Because the game is over 16k long, I've loaded it into GROM instead of ROM, and written the GPL program below to copy it into RAM. Therefore, this game requires the 32k memory expansion! (That should not be an issue on emulators). This cart is a raw binary GROM image - there are no headers on it. It should load at >6000 and it is >6000 bytes long. The internal layout of the cartridge uses >1800 byte GROMs - thus inbetween each GROM there is padded to make the file take a full 2k. That's why there are three MOVE commands in the code below. Lobster Bay was made available by Bryan Roppolo Boulder! posted originally by @Toucan
+acadiel
Gotcha. So Lobster Bay was originally a 32K program. If anyone figures out any of the other ones, let me know.

Oh, you are of course right. I should add "32k required" to the entry in the MAME software list. So this is no GPL code.

+Ksarul
I seem to remember that every cartridge version of Paddle Ball was a conversion, as I'm pretty sure the cartridge copies originated with Kyle Crichton of Competition Computers.
