Were Realplay Bowling and Tennis ever released for PS2?

Recommended Posts

I'm a bit of a peripheral nut. I once got a game called Realplay Puzzlesphere for the PS2 that uses a USB plug-in that has interactions with a remote ball with functions like buttons and dpad and Wiimote type interactions using an accelerometer. It was made by a company called In2Games, whose originator also made the enigmatic GameTrak while with that organization. There were three other RealPlay devices I found for sale. Unlike the Wiimote, each object was shaped like the game object: ball for the Puzzlesphere game that is similar to Marble Madness, mini pool cue, mini golf club and a Wii Mario Kart-like wheel. Kind of hokey, like the Xavix and Radica TV Play, devices, if you remember them, but I like to see what they can do. Having to include a separate device and including the USB plugin with each game I think is the killer for many of these games, where with the Wii you could use the same remote with every game. However, the ball for the Marble Madness Puzzlesphere and Pool Stick for pool add a little extra fun.

Anyhow, I've seen several ads where they were planning an imminent release of two more games: Realplay Bowling and Tennis, which include a bowling ball-ish thing and racquet. Although seeing lots of advertisements and the game container covers, I have only seen it "for sale" one place and it is out of stock, almost certainly permanently. These were released almost entirely only in Europe. I believe they would have been released around 2008.

I was wondering if anyone has ever seen any of these in real life, owning it, seeing one that someone else had, or seeing the actual game for sale in a store. Pics below.
