vazquezrick
Hello, I recently fired up jzIntv and it stopped working. I noticed when I have "Audio enabled" the emulator will hand to a black screen. After about 10 sec the emulator crashes. When I click off "Audio enabled" the emulator crashes immediately. I download a new version, same issue. Anyone have the same issues. Zendocon
Your parameters seem okay, but that last line "PC =1739" has me interested. That address would be an EXEC entry point. Do you have the actual exec.bin file from the Lives! or Rocks! CD, or is it the fake one for homebrews only?
vazquezrick
I'll look for the exec.bin from the Lives! or Rocks! CD. Update: I did a clean install, the emulator works without sound. If I enable the sound jzIntv will crash. I used an older version of jzIntv and it behaves the same way, crashes. I used the same roms in Nostaligia and works fine, sound and all. mr_me
Can you post the command line and output with sound enabled. From where are you downloading jzintv? What's the operating system? To test, put exec.bin and grom.bin in the jzintv/rom subfolder, open a command line and run "jzintv joy_diag".
Zendocon
I had trouble with sound running jzintv in my Linux environment originally, and the trouble was with the configure script for the pulseaudio package, not jzintv itself. What OS are you using?

mr_me
The only problem I had with windows 10 was flipping between full screen and window, or was it window to full screen. One would cause a crash. Try it with the full screen switch -f1 on the command line.
carlsson
I believe I know what the issue is. Likely you are running jzintv with the open sourced MINIEXEC.BIN (named EXEC.BIN) while your installation of Nostalgia is set up using the original, still copyrighted EXEC.BIN. I verified this by running jzintv with ECS enabled and the mentioned cartridge. Using the original EXEC it boots as it should, using MINIEXEC it crashes out right away. Is there a difference in the files you have in these two folders? Since you most likely already have the copyrighted files on your system, you might as well use the same files with all instances of the emulator. Setting jzintv to 32-bit colour (eg. -z640x480,32) solved that problem. In your case there could be an audio incompatibility. Jzintv still uses sdl 1.2, which is a little old, although I had no issues with audio and Windows 10. Edited April 16, 2020 by mr_me
