Deteacher
BP: 58,100! Hmmm...that intermission music sounds AWFULLY familiar. Can't quite put my finger on where I've heard it before. ?? +therealbountybob
I'm using my old multiboot menu copy of Blue Print but atarionline.pl has several versions. @deteacher I think the first BP music is the one from Computer War the others do sound familiar One tip for Blue Print - pull down at the start of every go, you'll see why - life is much better now! After a bunch of 20somethingK goes managed 59,650 (level 6 I think) Laser Gates 98,417 died at the end of the 8th planet ? [edit] @mimo good to see your setup I've updated the first post with the instructions link for blueprint and added a link to laser gates instructions...

roadrunner
A bit off topic Fandal's site needs to update the H.E.R.O. file, the zipped folder don't extract IIRC
graywest
Blue-Print: 52,550 Slight improvement at Laser Gates: 73,705 Here's a tip for Laser Gates: Blast your way through one of those grey columns. Once you're on the other side, if there's nothing attacking you, turn around and strafe the column from the back. You'll earn points for every hole you punch into the column and you can do quite a bit of rapid-fire damage at close range. Just keep an eye out for enemies - you don't want them to sneak up on you when you're pointed in the wrong direction! MagicMarc-er
I actually owned a Blue Print arcade game for several years. This is decent port. Here's my first shot. 52,000.

Thought the fastruntime does reduce the game doesn't seem to get much harder and there is not much variation. Do you remember if the arcade ver had different layouts for the houses or any other features? I did find a bug: I was hit by a flower pot at the same time as I assembled the last piece, the bits all fell off and I couldn't pick anything up (had 3 lives left) had to abort that go! 110,950
carlsson
Blueprint - 23400 pts Laser Gates - 28473 pts Both games are OK and if I can find more time, I'll play them some more but it is not like I skip work in order to play these games. Also the different screenshot quality is because I switched out my LCD for testing a CRT this week.
Deteacher
If you want a real challenge, play the 2600 version of Blue Print. You have to put the pieces together in order from bottom to top, so remembering the order of the pieces is a real challenge.

Do you remember if the arcade version had different layouts for the houses or any other features? The layouts seem to be very similar to the arcade game. While the falling flower pots are harder to avoid on the port, this version seems a bit easier than the arcade game in general. On standard arcade settings Sneaky Pete shows up on the second screen rather than the third. You also have more run time in the port (although you move generally faster in the arcade game when not running).

Laser Gates: 123,980 Blue-Print: 76,250 I thought it was 8 but perhaps it's 12 - I seem to rember completing it but maybe not! so planet 12 is the target which means I really need to be more careful about getting hit and watch out for the sneaky hidden energy docks in the middle of a gate ?
