masschamber #1 Posted April 19, 2020 So over the years I've accumulated some odd and funny bootleg stuff over the years just with other things, obviously I don't like piracy (the game I have on steam was actually up on some piracy sites before the steam release was even available somehow) but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy piracy doing something odd like porting samurai shodown 2 to the genesis or making strange copy right infringing cross overs. one of the most perplexing was a modern bootleg of Beethoven for the snes, why would you bother making bootleg copies of beethoven for the snes? For interesting I had an eprom cartridge for the 2600 that seemed to have been made in the 80s by hand. Kind of funny, you know those crummy 15 dollar handheld myarcades? they have a fighting game on them with sprites ripped from pocket fighters. How about everyone else anything odd/interesting/funny boots/pirate junk you come across.
bluejay #2 Posted April 19, 2020 (edited) I once found one of those bootleg PSPs at a flea market. At the time I actually thought it was a real psp because it had the Sony logo and everything, but I just bought it anyway, since it was $1.50. jhd #4 Posted April 20, 2020 I have a few (3 or 4) Famiclones with multiple built-in games. I bought my first one online, and subsequently I found more at local thrift shops. I also have a single pirate Famicom (or NES cartridge), but no original hardware on which to test it. The case is bright yellow. I bought it because it was very cheap (like $1 or so). I have seen a few pirated PSX games at flea markets. The ink-jet printed labels and photocopied manuals was a clear give-away.
bluejay #5 Posted April 20, 2020 I saw one of those Super Joy things at Goodwill once. I thought it was just a N64 and Sega Genesis controller back then(and I didn't have either back then) so I didn't pick it up.
